  Can you tell me why your 720p x264 of this show is larger than another release of same 720p x264?
  
  I noticed your version is 450MB while another competitor's release is only approx 280MB?
  
  I check playback info for both files and noticed these differences..
  
  Your encode
  -Input = 1280x716
  
  Competitor
  -Input = 1280x720
  
  Same for both
  -Output = YUY2(16 bits)
  -Other specs seems to be the same, however I am not 100% sure of this.
  
  In terms of quality I can't really tell if there is any difference or not..
  
  So any reason why your encode is much bigger?

  see , one can assume a bit rate of approximately 700 for HDTV sources , but i never take any chances with good shows thats why i keep the bit rate to around 1000 , hence the bigger size.
  and dear difference in quality is definitely there ;P

  Why do you use 1280x716 and not 1280×720?
  
  You should also test a encode with bitrate 700 to see if there is any difference.
  
  As far as I can tell, I can't see much difference between the two different encodes.

  if people want low bitrate they can download from other sources. mean while keep on encoding quality!

  HBO Renewed Westworld.
  Another 10 episodes will be coming end of 2017 or early 2018. HBO has been making good programs however, they seem to have really long gaps between short seasons. Waiting another year for 10 episodes is killing the momentum of the program.
