I still think this movie is underrated by the community. It’s a straight forward underwater scifi-horror flick with a lot of thrill and a convincing production and sound design. When I watched it, there was not a minute of boredom. I held my breath for 90 minutes, and the experience reminded me of watching the very first Alien movie (although Underwater is in many ways different). Maybe some people feel I am a bit too enthusiastic about this, but I would rate Underwater definitely 8+ rather than 5.9. Give it a try, guys. If you like Alien, Leviathan and Lovecraft’s Cthulhu myth, you won’t be disappointed … 😉
