Ep 1 was OK, watchable. It stars François Arnaud who was great as Cesare Borgia in The Borgias (2011-2013) (Well worth watching if you haven’t seen it).

i read the comment in their facebook, many people get angry. inside the bluray, theres a code to unlock the Extended Director’s Cut on Digital
I left a note as soon as it was released that the extended version will only be on Digital. They decided to promote digital this way.

I watched Castlevania (2017) animation based on video game franchise from Netflix. It was good enough but with only 4 episodes of 23 minutes each , the whole series felt just like an Intro. It has been renewed for Season 2 by Netflix.

cant wait for the End game to start. but its been on a downward spiral for the last 3 seasons. lets hope they end it in style and redeem some of the show’s Glory
may be its our own fault , once we start to like something , we keep on raising the bar in our heads, initially GOT kept matching it but there is a certain limit for every production house and director or the think tank,
Looks like they feel they have peaked and are trying to maintain it only.
Lets try and keep our mind open and not expect too many of explosions every season 😉
There is one more thing , I may be wrong but thats what happened to me , I had watched the first three seasons at a stretch coz back then i believed GOT to be just another costume drama;P but watching back to back those many episodes just blew my mind and hence my bar of expectations went crazy ;P
Last season the TV series ran out of books. Since then the TV writers have had a free hand to make up plot; and that shows: more fan service, less realism. Still great for TV drama, just slightly less than before.

hope everyone’s fine. just saw the 2nd trailer for GOT and feel excited again a bit. with only 7 episodes and the same budget to spend on less runtime, there are plenty of setpieces that HBO is gonna throw at us and it looks good.
just wanted to say i hope u are ready for doing this show again and even better than last year maybe increase the encoding settings a bit but again not going overboard with filesize!

Game of Thrones’ Final Season Might Not Air Until 2019
Bad news, Game of Thrones fans. You might have to wait a little longer to watch the show’s final season.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys revealed that the network is going to give showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss as much time as they need to create Game of Thrones’ six-episode final season.
“They have to write the episodes and figure out the production schedule,” said Bloys. “We’ll have a better sense of [when it will air] once they get further into the writing.”
Currently, Bloys says, they’re expecting Thrones final season to air in 2018 or possibly even 2019, depending on how much time Benioff and Weiss need.
Bloys also revealed that HBO’s full focus right now is on giving Game of Thrones all the attention and resources it needs, rather than focusing too much on the multiple prequel spin-offs which are currently in development. “We want to focus on Season 7 and 8,” he said. “If any of these scripts come to pass, you’re not going to see anything air anytime close to the Season 8 finale.”
Game of Thrones premieres Sunday, July 16 at 9/8c.

@ERO, thanks for the info on those shows. Always I read this with mixed feelings….always are favorits of mine cancelled way to soon and so often I can’t understand the renewal of some crappy show.
I watched the Marvel Comics-based “Legion (FX)” season 1 (8 episodes0 and it was above average. As with the rest of FX series, it is fairly low budget with lesser known cast but the story was good enough and the effects were reasonable.
Since it was only 8 episodes, it is OK for binge watching. It has already been renewed for season 2.
