This is an interesting special feature! It is quite a meditative and allegorical film, which despite its Latvian production background often reminds me of Japanese animΓ© symbolism. The story doesn’t give away much, and we often must find our own answer to what we see here. But that is exactly what makes it the more interesting! To my mind it is a film about the importance of moving on in your life, to accept the challenge of the unknown, to find a way to where you think you belong, and to be mindful of what happens around you … First I thought this could have been a walkthrough of a stylish computer game (beause the film features quite a few game-like elements). Yet the stlye is something you must get used to: the graphics are quite abstract, the textures are very flat, almost non-existent. But this really adds to the films allegorical quality. This is not your usual animation feature, but give it a try, I think it’s worth it – a little work of art! πŸ˜‰
